Contact your Representatives
If you've read this site and feel the same way I do, let your representatives know that you want them to do something about internet pornography. This page will help you find out who your representatives are and how to contact them. Please, take the time to make a quick phone call to both your state and federal elected officials.
And yes, please call them. Research has shown that personalized forms of communication are much, much more effective in influencing our representatives. Thus a phone call or a mailed letter are much more effective than emails or spam.
The best tool I've seen to find your representatives is the elected officials tool at Congress.org. Type in your zip code, and it will show you your representatives, both state and federal. Then it's up to you to make your voice heard. Here are a few things to keep in mind when you contact them:
- In your own words, tell them these three things:
- You are a constituent voting in their district.
- Tell them about the resolution and why it is important to you.
- Tell them they can visit www.cp80.org or contact CP80 directly to learn about the resolution and the solution.
- Call them!!! Remember, phone calls are much more effective than emails.
- Contact all of your representatives and senators - both state and federal.
